Vanilla has launched TARGET, a package of online solutions for practitioners and commissioners who need to prove the effectiveness of services and secure future investment.
As an introduction to TARGET, a FREE evaluation toolkit is available to download (see links on the Vanilla homepage)
The toolkit enables any Family Intervention Project (FIP) to measure success as defined by practitioners, commissioners, Local Strategic Partnerships, families and Natcen. The toolkit tracks family progress, cost of interventions and savings across the system. The toolkit is easy to use by administrators and managers, producing simple local data summaries that can be used to make a business case for investment.
Starter Kit £2,500
To get you started, we will support you to use the free evaluation toolkit by providing:
TRAINING
Any tool is only as good as the people who use it. Vanilla will train and support your teams to use the toolkit with confidence.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Easy, fast technical support to keep you on the move.
Local Package £10,000
A TAILORED EVALUATION TOOLKIT
We will work with you and local stakeholders to define your success indicators and adapt the toolkit to address your service priorities.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT
We will develop your teams throughout the evaluation journey to ensure practice improves and the toolkit is utilised to its full potential. We will carry out a training needs analysis of the teams engaged in the evaluation exercise and deliver a series of 3 team building sessions that will enable colleagues to acquire the skills and knowledge relevant to working with complex families, or other target population groups.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Hands on support and advice to develop and use the toolkit. Support will be available to teams on site, on line and by phone. Once the toolkit has been developed technical support will enable managers to tailor reports and analyse data.
Total Place Package £25,000
A TAILORED EVALUATION TOOLKIT
We will work with you and local stakeholders to define your success indicators and adapt our web based evaluation toolkit to address your service priorities.
A LOW COST, HIGH VOLUME EARLY INTERVENTION TOOL
Vanilla has developed, in partnership with Southampton City Council and NHS Southampton, a unique web based tool that combines telehealth processes with evidence based screening and brief intervention tools. The tool can be applied to a range of problems that require early and brief intervention such as signposting families seeking help, alcohol, smoking, healthy living particularly following hospital discharge.
A TOTAL PLACE ANALYSIS
We will carry out a total place analysis to develop a business case for change. Strategic priorities will be determined by local decision makers; for example a focus on families with complex problems, alcohol or reducing hospital admissions.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
We will help you identify teams who can deliver the change required and we will train them to deliver evidence based interventions for target population groups.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Hands on support and advice to develop and use both web based tools. Support will be available to teams on site, on line and by phone, in addition we will support managers to tailor reports and analyse data.
‘Vanilla listened to us and understood what we needed to achieve. We felt supported at every step of the journey and the result speaks for itself. We now have a business case for change and investment for a further 12 months. Local decision makers are considering how our FIP evaluation toolkit can be applied to other service areas to evidence cost effectiveness.’
Jason Murphy, FIP Manager, Reading Borough Council, March 2011
